The Sidheshwari Badrinarayana college.Garhirampur also refered as S.B.N. College was established on 28th December 1983 by Sidheshwari Devi in memory of her husband late Badrinarayan Singh, under T.M. Bhagelpur University Bhagalpur. Now it is under Munger university Munger.It is a well renowned Institute for providing higher education .The college campus acquires 03 acre 36 decimal, while total land of this college is 11 acer 42 decimal. There are 14 affiliated college associated with Munger University Munger, among them only one affiliated degree college in munger district is S.B.N. College Garhimampur. The dignitaries Late Vidhy Nand Singh and Late Parmanand Singh were the founder secretary of the college. At present Sri Anjan Kumar Singh is secratery(2022) of this college, while professor Dr. Sachidanand Choudhary is founder principle of the college.
In the begining, this college started functioning in the building of middle school potam. Those were the days of struggle but quest of noble mission generated the attention of the landlord Sidheshwari devi, whose stimulating urge resulted in favour of the college in form of some money and 11 acre 42 decimal of land. In the begning the college started from the scratch and hall the facilities for the studies of inter and degree course tigether.But in 1995 S.B.N. College divided into S.B.N. inter college and S.B.N. college. The college got permanent affiliation with T.M. Bhagulpur University in January 2008. The College has affiliation in Arts, Science and Commerce faculties with honours.The subjectsin Arts faculty are-Hindi, Urdu(PASS), English, Sanskrit, Hisory, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Home Science, Rural Economics, Ancient History,Mathematics. In Science faculty the subjects are- Physics, Chemistry,Mathematics, Botony, zoology. In commerce only in corporate and Account.
The college got into swift momentum during the tenure of the then secratery Late Parmanand Singh whose determinative action combined with the creativity of principle Dr. S.N. Choudhary witnessed great sport in construction activities and academic culture in the college with the help of intellectuals, social activist and common people of this area. This college is like an oasis in the desert. The teachers of this college are well reputed in their field and having plous mission to inoculate the air of alynamism among the students who are mostly from weaker section over the year, the college has built up impressive building, science laboratries, well-stocked library, geography lab etc. The college promets organization of saminars,,lectures, NCC,NSS and other co-curricular activities.
